I used my stock brake lines but you could replace the OE lines with braided lines if you wish.
Good Luck with your brake upgrade
Ordered Galfer stainless lines yesterday and some fleabay 4 pot SV1000 calipers. Going to go over the bars here pretty soon.

Costs so far around $180 bucks.

Replaced the clutch pushrod mechanism, it was "clicking" and looking a little flimsy when the clutch lever was pulled. I noticed when I cleaned and lubed the original last month that a ball bearing or 2 may have missing. Bikebandit has them for about $50.

Installed a SpeedoDRD. Highly recommended if you want to see your actual speed. Although, while testing it out, I was still used to going higher than usual...

Finally had a couple hours to work on the bike, after not having time for almost two weeks. I must be rusty at this, because yeah...I just caused this to happen! Ugh...

Installed the Adventure Tech fork brace and peg lowering kit.

1) fork brace: wow...did a 50 mile ride and the front end felt tight...
2) lowering kit...I'm pushing 5'10" and can't imagine you taller guys riding the 2009 650Wee with stock peg height. So much better.

Heading out for a road/camp trip tomorrow.
