motorcycle jack

I have a regular motorcycle/atv lift. Is there any way to adapt one of these to work on the glee without putting skid plate on bike?

I have seen it done but do not remember how. I would feel much safer just purchasing a center stand. To get the front off the ground I use an endurostar trail stand. I feel much safer this way than I do with my mc jack. Last thing I want is my bike crashing to the ground with no wheels on it and in a worse case senario hitting me on somebody else on the way down.

I have used a regular lift to perform front fork change-out, by using my Givi engine guard cross-bar in front, with padding to stabilize and reduce damage. Of course, that was only supporting the front half of the bike.

I'm kinda curious too about using a motorcycle jack. I have one and it comes in handy on the KLR. Would love to be able to use it on the strom also.
