Smile Throttle crack

OK..........i'm new to this and this may sound silly.......but I've just noticed a cracking when hitting the throttle that I never heard before.......it's a very distinct crack when in neutral and giving it gas.......?? ..........this wasn't there before............and i don't know much about the mechanics of bikes......??

which bike and year do you have? Is it a crack or a pop, front or rear of the bike, rolling the throttle on or gassing it hard? Only when it is in netural? More specifics needed

it's a 2005 650........it's in the front end.......when in neutral and i give it a guick burst on the throttle it's a crack sound....it only happens very quickly at the initial turn of the throttle................i did notice it yesterday for the first time when i hadn't geared down enough and was going up hill....when i gave it gas it made the same crack sound at the initial turn of the throttle..........

When I bought my bike from the PO. It had a few cracks and creaks.
I went over the whole bike and re-torqued all the bolts. Especially the motor mounts.
Bingo. No more cracks or creaks.
Hope this helps.
