Nope. I haven't seen any V-Stroms yet.

Generally you won't unless one of the marshals carrying a photographer or other VIP has one. The French (a$$holes) seem to have a "contract" with Kawasaki to have the Gendarmerie's (National "Police") ride Concours' almost exclusively. Even the Commissaires, who ride on the back, are on them as well.

Now here in the states where we ride what ever we own. I am a cycling official myself so I kinda know what goes on. :biggrinjester: We "pilot" our own bikes AND officiate AND talk to racers AND talk to police AND "marshal" the course/traffic. We're just a little busy at times! But I wouldn't trade if for the world!!

You can't fix stupid!

Kawasaki is a corporate sponsor, so you will see relatively few bikes from other brands.

My wife (who doesn't ride) is still trying to comprehend chasing bikes on the mountain stage downhills at 60mph. I keep telling her it's half the fun. The other half is the mountain uphills.

I caught a quick glimpse of a Strom in one of the early stages too. I'm also a USA Cycling motoref. Unfortunately very few bike races in New England use motor's so I work most races from a car.

Are we to assume that you have some long standing feud with the French at the Tour??
