For Help In Salt Lake City

Headed south to Moab UT after doing Yellowstone, Banff and Jasper. Pulled off into some gravel at a rest stop and noticed some loss of control. Steering head bearings needed replacement or tightening. Suzuki dealer in SLC had the bearings but service was booked solid for three days. Made numerous phone calls to repair facilities in the area and all the way to Moab.

Somewhere along the line I got the name of Dana DeMello who said bring it over and I'll see what I can do. Dana got tired of working for somebody else (last employer was BMW) and opened a one man shop. He offered to replace the bearings and gave me a good price on TKC 80's and I was on my way early next morning. What a lifesaver. Labor rate $65/hour.

His card reads:

No Name Cycle
Midvale, Ut
By Appointment
801-440-0428

I highly recommend him and his work.
Tell him the guy from Hawaii sent you.

Good to hear you got back on the road with some quality service. When I saw the thread title, I was getting ready to call dear ol' Dad. He lives in that area and raised me wrenching on bikes. I'm sure you would've had a place to be and a garage to work in.

Ride safe.

I'm glad you got hooked up with somebody like Dana. I don't know him, but have heard of his little shop and his quality service. I would have tried to help had I known, but luckily you found an expert--I would just have been moral support!
