I could maybe live with the second one. The first looks like a dinosuar ate it.
But I'd rather have nothing than either.
Get a givi.

Maybe they are teeth marks in the first one. I have had very good luck with V Stream on my 2012 Goldwing and my BMW GSA. Thought I would try it on my new to me Vee..

I have the second one on my bike now and like it. Be warned that the mirrors will hit the wind shield when turned fully to lock the bike. It didn't hurt the mirrors or the shield to do it, but I didn't like it. To solve that problem and the wind buffering issue I added some of Rick's mirror extenders.

I have the wind shield in the lowest position and like it there so I can see over it and not have to look through it. However I still get some wind hitting me on the top of my head, but I am 6'2". So I am thinking about getting the Madstad to further fine tune the wind.

If you look hard enough you can find that shield shipped for $125.

Like he said below.
I bought the second (newer) model about a month ago and am really happy with it. I have it on the middle setting with spacers under the mount to give it some tilt. I also plan to buy a Madstad bracket but it is working pretty well as is. However, I think the Madstad would give me more flexibility. I also have mirror extenders but the mirrors still touch right before full lock of the turning radius. (With the screen tilted back)

Good luck.

I have a Madstad bracket on the way to me. It will be here on Friday . I don't have the mirror extenders, but I will look into that. I'm 6-2 and hope a taller screen will help.

I had the second Vstream posted... my stock mirrors hit the shield when at full turn... enough that it interfered with my slow speed steering. I called to return it and the guy on the phone was shocked my mirrors hit the shield... said he had a 2011 in their shop and that one didn't hit... lol he did return it and gave me a full refund. So no complaints about the company. The shield did look good on the bike.

Newer version, here. Got it a month or so ago. With Rich's extenders and a Madstad, it still touches the mirrors if I want to lock the front end. So I loosen the Madstad and move it.

I got it for $89 delivered from BikeBandit, thanks to a "heads up" from another Stromtrooper about BikeBandit's one-day sale. For under a hundred bucks I'm pleased with it. It HAS noticeably reduced buffeting AND I can actually hear the sweet sound of the motor when I'm cruising along. Is it the ultimate solution? I don't think so...but I'm unsure as to what that might actually be.

I also have one of the second V Streams on my 2008 Wee. I have it mounted on a Madstad bracket...I have Rick's mirror extenders....and 15mm handlebar risers.

I have no problem with the mirrors hitting the windshield. I have not tried all positions of the windshield that the Madstad bracket allows but the positions that I have tried have not caused problems between the mirrors and the windshield (I also had this combination before I put the risers on and had no problems then either).

I have been riding with the Madstad bracket with V Stream at the lowest height, and angled all the way back (for summer). This combination works well for me.

Had one and loved it

I had the first one on my DL1000 and although it does look "butt ugly" it is functional.
The cutouts are to prevent the mirrors from hitting the shield.
Great wind protection, so when it was 99+ degrees (last week) I took it off and put the smaller screen on. Sometimes you need a little wind. :yesnod:
