DL650 Replacement bars, SV650 bars on dl650

Of course, I came out of work the other day to find that my bike had been knocked over and then picked back up by someone.

Anyways, my bars are bent and have been looking at replacement options. Does anyone know if the SV650 (standard) bars fit on the DL650?

If not, are there any after market bars that people prefer over the stock bars?

Thanks for any recommendations. I will probably end up getting some stock replacements, but want to check out my options.

Any 7/8" handlebars will work ... and I'm pretty sure the SV650 has 7/8" bars... so yes.

That said, you might want to look at rockymountainatvmc.com

That site has a good section on handlebars and the dimensions for the bars they sell. The /other/ vstrom forum has a thread on vstrom handlebar options with bars that people seem to like a lot highlighted.

All this said, I'm a fan of MSR bars. They are DIRT CHEAP and came in a variety of flavors. I've been riding the ATV High-bend bars and recently bought the YZ Low-bend bars (very low and flat with little pullback). The MSR bars are carbon steel and I have ZERO distortion in my bar end mirrors. We're talking crystal clarity.

There are many threads about replacement bars, try a search: Stromtrooper.com - Search Results for replacement handlebars

Here is a thread on the other forum with a pretty comprehensive list of dimensions for aftermarket bars: Handlebar Configuration data (Width, Height, & Pull Back)

I replaced mine with the MSR ATV-LO. $25. About the same rise as stock, but considerably less pullback. Stiffer and better feel. https://www.stromtrooper.com/786768-post2.html

If you are in a shipwreck and all the boats are gone, a piano top buoyant enough to keep you afloat that comes along makes a fortuitous life preserver. But this is not to say that the best way to design a life preserver is in the form of a piano top.
I think we are clinging to a great many piano tops in accepting yesterday's fortuitous contrivings as constituting the only means for solving a given problem." - R. Buckminster Fuller
