Smile Squeaking fairing

I SEEM TO HAVE DEVELOPED A DISTINCT SQUEAK IN MY FAIRING ON THE LEFT SIDE. MOST PREVALENT WHEN RIDING AT MEDIUM SPEEDS, BUT PERHAPS THIS IS WHEN I HEAR IT. SQUEEZING THE FAIRING CAUSES IT TO SQUEAK AS WELL, ANYWAY TO BUFFER THE SOUND?

Maybe take it off and check all the screws and fasteners? Get a can of WD40?

Noise origin detection can be tricky. One common source is the speedo sensor on the left side of the front axle on 650s. Pulling the two sections apart and applying grease to the mating surfaces quiets things.

Pat- 2007 DL650A was ridden to all 48 contiguous states. I didn't quite make it to 17,000 miles on the 2012 DL650A.
Nicknames I use to lessen typing, Vee = 2002-2012 DL1000s. Vee2=2014-2016 DL1000s. Wee = 2004-2011 DL650s. Glee = 2012-2016 DL650s

Please vote in the poll on what Strom(s) you have at https://www.stromtrooper.com/informat...-you-have.html
