Just moved to Cincinnati--riding & dealers in the area

Well, the moving van pulled away and my wife and I are new residents of the Cincinnati area, coming from the South Bend, Indiana, area. It was a whirlwind of experience--job transfer for my wife, moving my business, attending a family wedding in New Mexico, and seeing our son off to the Peace Corps and Africa--all in one month. WHEW!

Anyway, were getting settled in, and I'm looking forward to new roads and friends to ride with. Any recommendations on dealers in the area?

I know there are awesome roads in Southeastern Ohio, if you are willing to cross back into Indiana, there is some awesome riding in south-eastern Indiana. Also, just across the border into north-eastern Kentucky are some awesome roads to ride.

I'd love to get a group together from that area and have a nice escort for great on-road/off-road stuff.

Anyone up for it? Perhaps it will have to wait until next season.

I would be up for such a group ride. Perhaps we can identify some of the Stromtroopers in the Tri-State area--OKI--Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana.

Welcome to Cincinnati. This is a great area for rides as you have so many beautiful places to see. There are some great rides down either side of the river. You HAVE to see Rabbit Hash. Then you can head out through Southern Indiana and enjoy some great open spaces with folksie old towns and some beautiful views.

Let me know what yoy are interested in and maybe I can make some suggestions or join a group ride. We still have lots of riding days left.

Yeah - when the weather gets a bit warmer, we will definately have to get an organized ride together. Maybe even see if we can get Howboucha (Brendan) to join us.

Hey guys I just bought a DL1000 yesterday myself. I live on the eastside of Cinci and I know some great roads out that way.

As far as dealers in town.

I bought my bike at Shipps Suzuki and have been pleased with them thus far.

Also have had great service at Beechmont Motorsports and Cycle Specialties.

Hope to meet some fellow Strommers soon.

I'm Up for a ride and possibly lunch at the Golden Lamb. Later maybe we can catch a shoot out in Over The Rhine.

Big_B - you're always invited.

But you know how Brendan is on the other side of the state - thus the reason I said we might be able to get him to join us.

I'm about an hour or so out of Cinci, but it isn't that big of a deal for me - i I am use to having to ride about an hour before finding good stuff to ride.

This is great! I was beginning to think no one was paying attention to this post. I'm looking forward to planning a ride, and meeting all of you. One of the things I really miss from northern Indiana is a small group dinner ride. Our local dealer very simply organized a Thursday evening dinner ride, and whoever showed up went. It was great. We even went to a couple of minor-league baseball games.
Is anybody doing this?
