Hello to all
need help

I hope I am in the right section. Can anyone help me in regards to the following. In replacing the magneto rotor I have found that the starter gears and the ider gear fell to the bottom of the crankcase. From the looks of things I have recovered all the parts. My question concerns the idler gear pinion shaft. Is it entirely supported by the depth it runs in the crankcase cover. It does not push into the crancase on the inboard end. It has a hole with a bushing inside just like the starter gear assembly but the shaft does not fit within. Just goes to the edge of the hole. Is this correct.
Have had the loose magnet issue and the flywheel is away being reset.

Any help would be great, thanks to all.
