k2 dl1000, 34,000, restoring younger brothers bike, fuel relay was jumped, air cleaner upside down, kemo meds were probable cause, secondaries removed, was getting c-28 till I rotated secondary shaft, greywolf hope this catches your attension. Found that a piece of rg-6 coax tv cable makes a great cable probe, pointed on one end looped on the other, clips on volt meter wont slip.

A c11 occurs when the signal does not reach ECM for more than 3 sec. after receiving the starter signal. A bad connection between the CMPS and the ECM can cause that. Also, besides the wiring, electrical coupler and CMPS itself, the intake cam pin the CMPS senses can be the culprit. I don't have any real hands on experience with the DL1000 and the DL650 doesn't have a CMPS. My go to guy for stuff like this is John Weldon, Johnofchar at V-Strom Riders International Group

Pat- 2007 DL650A was ridden to all 48 contiguous states. I didn't quite make it to 17,000 miles on the 2012 DL650A.
Nicknames I use to lessen typing, Vee = 2002-2012 DL1000s. Vee2=2014-2016 DL1000s. Wee = 2004-2011 DL650s. Glee = 2012-2016 DL650s
