What's a "farkle"?

Is this a V-Strom term? I've owned every bike know to man and have never heard this term before. Just ordered a 2007 DL1000 and need to learn the lingo.

I can't believe I bought a Suzuki. Will my friends ever speak to me again?

Seems to be a sport-touring term. Farkles are all the gadgets and mods you add to a bike. I've read that it's origin is a combination of "Functional" and "Sparkle".

Farkle = gift for your motorcycle. Some gifts can be Functional - some can be Sparkle.

Put the two together and you get Farkle !!!

Fanny Farkle is also very amusing here in NZ. I'm sure she works in our local red light area........so I've been led to believe!
