An other windshield for 6'5" rider???

I realize this is the millionth time a shield question has been posted, but I'm not finding any solutions for my height.
So if there are any 6'5" (or close) riders with an pre '04 bike your help would be appreaciated.
6'5"
34" Inseam
25.5" Line of sight from top of tank.

I have tried the stock and the 22" vented Cee Bailey screen's.
The stock is def no good. The 22" is a little better but has a different set of problems.
I'm leaning towards the Cee Bailey 26" or 28" but, the bigger they are the uglier. I would hate to kill the looks of this beautiful bike.
Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks very much...Ken

P.S. What oil should I use? (just kidding) :P

sceen

I too am having problems finding a windsceen for my DL1000. I bought the Genuine Suzuki 3+ inches taller than stock screen and it was a waste of money. When I hit 70 mph the sceen folded back, the rubber strip on the screen came loose and whipped me across the face. I had my faceshield up while searching for a sweet-spot behind the screen. I am here to tell you this screen has no such ssweet-spot for a rider over 6'2". The dealership does not want to take the sceen back, but it is clearly faulty.

How was the 22" ceebaily?

Take a look at http://mpcycledesign.com/

With heights custom cut and a Madstad bracket, a perfect size and angle are available. A new 1/4" thickness will eliminate any fear of flimsy.

Pat- 2007 DL650A was ridden to all 48 contiguous states. I didn't quite make it to 17,000 miles on the 2012 DL650A.

The 22" is not tall enough for a rider my height. Actually it channels all the turbulant air right onto my forehead. I get a bad rumble over 35 mph that gets worse as I progress. I can duck down about 3" and get clean air but I'm too big to ride like that. So I would say if you are close to my specs don't bother. It is, however, still better than the stock as I am not blown arround as much. It is a toss-up between the mpcycle and the 28" Cee Bailey. I believe Madstad bracket is only for '04 on up. The pre '04 uses the mp bracket as far as I know.

Hey guys, I'm 6'2" with a 34" inseam and I have had luck with the MadStad windshield mount, in combination with a 23.5 Cee Bailey (touring) and a Givi (communting). With the Cee Bailey on the MadStad, I have plenty of room to move the shield up or down, I prefer to look over the shield not through it. My MadStad is at the lowest configuration, so hieght can be increased.

Zap221 you might want to try the MadStad shield mount with your existing Cee Bailey, and see what that does for you. They are very adjustable, and the people here that have them swear by them, myself included.

I forgot about that. The tall MP is 23" and may be available in longer lengths as a custom order. There is also a wind deflector available for the screen top. Email Paul Sas at [email protected] for options. He is great to deal with.

I'm 6'2" with 34" inseam. The Manta screen works great. I have it in the lowest position. The windblast goes over my helmet. It should work for you if you mount it in a slightly higher position.
