Finally, purdy color-matched Givi case set

Well, after much thrashing about, I finally have what I was looking for - a Givi v46 topcase and pair of e41 sidecases, custom-painted to color-match my blue 2007 Wee.

I ended up going with paint from Color-Rite, specifically (plus a clear coat from them), in an aerosol can. I'm sure I could have been more frugal, but I ended up using a can on the v46 lid (or more accurately, "lid cover", as it is a separate piece from the lid itself), and another can on the two e41 lids. About $80 all told - and the color match is perfect.

The final result is, I think, pretty cool:
(the apparent difference in color is only the reflection of the sun vs. the shade on the tank and fairing ... they really do match completely)
(obviously the front bike - the teensy thing behind mine is some Yamaha thing ... ;-)

Yup, all spray paint. I was impressed with how even the coverage was - it's great paint. The clear coat did a great job of covering up the subtle variations. The only problem is that it's not the toughest paint job around - I already have a few scratched. But hey ...

I'd like to borrow the mirrors - if he chooses to shack it for the winter, I'll nab them and give them a whirl.

Wow, that's a really beautiful job you did. I would have never believed it was spray paint.
