New Fabric

I'm not sure if this has been shown here or not. Interesting stuff.

This fabric becomes rigid upon impact, returns to soft immediately after impact, is easy to work with and easy to clean.

If this fabric is as good as it's billed I wouldn't be surprised to see it, along with improved armour, in all future riding gear.

Interesting article by Dow Corning. Do you suppose this is the same stuff I already have in my Aerostitch Roadcrafter----the T2 armour Aerostitch uses does exactly as Dow talks about. It hardens on impact but the rest of the time is pliable and soft. Only its in their armour, not in their cloth.

Red '05 DL 650.

Could be. I'd love to know if it's already in use, and if so, in what.
