left key on

Stopped my DL650 the other day with the bar switch and then forgot to turn the key off. Of course, ran the battery down. Recharged it that day. Funny thing was on a restart two days later the bike started right up then quit running. On the restart, it spun over fine but did not want to fire up until i opened the throttle up to about half turn. After that she was fine, but never had the little DL give me any back talk before. :-)

With the BMW bikes, upon reattaching the battery, one would open the throttle TWO full opening/closings (with ignition OFF) to "reset" the Motronic fuel delivery system.

Don't know if the Strom's have the same thing, but it won't hurt anything! Let us know if it works, pleeze.....
