Introduction

Just wanted to say Hello to everyone.
Have been brousing the forum for several months,
since I picked up a crashed...slightly, '06 DL 1000.
Was putting it back together, so I didn't want to make any changes.
I didn't even know if I would like the bike.
Geting back on after about 10 years absence to two wheels.
Last bike was an RZ 350.... just a little different!
Felt the surging just below 4000 RPM the other day.
So.... the mods begin... guess I'll be keeping it.

bike

The surging problem can be very much minimized by keeping the engine loaded. These bikes being twins have a fair amount of torque and do better if the bike at slow speeds is kept in a slightly higher gear and loads the engine.

Thanks Bill, I'm still getting used to the bike, and was planning on doing
the TB sync, and TP sensor adj.. maybe even try without the secondaries.
