What did you ride before owning a Strom?

Hello,

Just curious if anyone has stepped off a BMW, Tiger, Tenere etc and now rides a Strom as their main ride, also what is your bike history
My bike history is,

1980's - Yamaha RZ250 (first bike)
early 1990's -Honda CX500 Shaft drive
late 1990-2000's Kawasaki ZR750 Zephyr
2010 - Suzuki Vstrom DL650A

2010 DL650A - black

First bike- Honda CT90 ex postie bike, followed by ten or so others before I stopped riding.

Then the last four [since I got back in to riding around 4-5 years ago] were;
BMW 1985 R65LS [something small to re-kindle the skills] then BMW 1986 K100RT followed by a BMW 2000 R1150GS [that became a 12 month money pit], then on to the brand new Suzuki 2009 DL650A [the best bike I've owned- bar none].

I'm currently on the look out for an Ag bike or trail bike for weekend camping trips in the mountains [in addition to the Wee].

My "last" bike will most likely be a Can-Am Spyder, when I can no longer hold up [or more importantly- pick up] a two wheeled bike.

Ock. in Oz

I ride naked and unafraid.

The list is long but distinguished

I could never begin to list all the bikes that I've owned in the last 30 years (I'd put the number somewhere around 50). The one I was ridding right before the Strom was a Bandit 1200. My only other adventure touring motorcycle was a '92 TDM 850 which I still hold a fond place in my heart for.

My first bike was a Kawasaki GPZ 750, a somewhere 80's model I think, long time ago. Got back into bikes more than 10 years later with a '09 Wee (Orange). Had to sell it after only 1,000km due to unexpectedly immigrating. Bought a '10 Kawasaki Ninja 650r. Sold it earlier this year and replaced it with a '11 Wee (Orange). This one might be a keeper ....... well, depends on what the new one looks like.:biggrinjester:
