I've had long stem Napoleon mirrors on my bike for five years. The glass is slightly convex and they haven't descended into rust like so much of the other aftermarket crap.

You might want to take a look at a set of Aprillia Tuno mirrors.

I installed them on my current ride, a Versys but they would be an improvement over the stock V-Strom mirrors.
These are high quality mirrors at an extremely affordable price and the young lady in the parts dept. was a pleasure to deal with.

Here is the dealer with the best price on these mirrors that I found:

8104921 RH Mirror Assy 21.99

Take your pick: Replacement mirrors, low cost & that work well?
Mine are the cheap J.C.Whitney long-stem EMGOs, and I feel no need to replace them.

1985 Honda CB450SC (AUG04 - SEP09)
2004 Honda CN250 Helix (NOV09 - )
2006 Suzuki DL650 (MAR07 - APR15)

LordSmoke posted the link I would have chosen.

Pat- 2007 DL650A was ridden to all 48 contiguous states. I didn't quite make it to 17,000 miles on the 2012 DL650A.
Nicknames I use to lessen typing, Vee = 2002-2012 DL1000s. Vee2=2014-2016 DL1000s. Wee = 2004-2011 DL650s. Glee = 2012-2016 DL650s

+1 They help remove part of the buffeting.

What about this model from JCW, anybody order a pair yet? Nothing on the V is square, I thought this shape might be more complimentary.
