Hitting the road, Vancouver BC to Phoenix...

and who knows where else!

Well, after thinking about it for a couple of months; I quit my job and will be taking a month or three off of working and am planning a big road trip.

I'll be leaving Vancouver in mid-September for Phoenix to visit my sister and another friend who recently moved there. I'll probably stay in the area for about a week, and then start making my way back to Vancouver but taking the long way to get back. Part of my thinking was to follow the mountains back up through WY, MT and into Alberta and then make my way up to Jasper via the Icefields

My plan so far is to avoid the interstates where-ever possible and take all the secondary highways hopefully finding the twisty and down right fun stuff to ride on.

I have no agenda or destinations in mind other than making it to Phoenix, with a stop to see the Grand Canyon on the way. Was also thinking of hitting the Oregon coast line too.

What I'd love is if the assimilated can suggest some routes to check out on the way there or back!

So, start your suggestions!

Thanks!

Al

Actually it may not be too much of a by-pass in a few months! I'm working on getting a job in Dublin... So if I get that, the Strom is definitely moving with me.

If so, you MUST visit that, including Grossglockner in Austria!
