Exclamation bar end weights/ handguard help!

mmmmk, so I am running pro-taper atv bars on the DL1000, had them installed years ago at a shop and the guy had to "monkey" around with the fitment of the bar end nut attachment to get it to fit into the new bars. no problems for a year, took a low speed, low side and broke the OEM handguards. going to replace them with a set of over-priced plastic tourtech ones, as I was removing the long bar end screw, the nut came out and I simply can not get it to seat back in the bars - I have given up trying to use the OEM nut. so here's the question: has anyone found a solid "cam" style nut to use for such an application as to hold the bar end weights/ handgaurds in solid??

Any help or suggestions would be sincerely appreciated!
