New Sidi Boots

Hello all.

I just purchased 2 new pairs of Sidi boots; the Fusion Air and the Sport Rain.

I rode about 350 miles this weekend with the Fusion Air boots. Temps were 65 to 88 degrees F for the duration of my ride. I wear a 10.5 in tennis shoes so I got the size 45/11 US. The boots fit well and are of average width.

The boots are rather lightweight and broke in quickly (about 1 hour). The soles have excellent traction on dry pavement and I imagine they would have good traction on wet pavement as well. They are very comfortable.

The 'air' boot is just perforated and I was disappointed in their ability to flow air. Even at 75 MPH, I could not feel air going through the boot. Don't get me wrong here, they are better than a non-air boots for keeping your feet cool and they breath well, they just don't have the flow-though ventilation I was expecting.

I still like them and will probably keep them for their usable life. They are good boots, just don't expect a windstorm for your feet.

As for the Sport Rain boots, they look pretty decent under your jeans. I wore them to the supermarket this evening and it was no problem driving my car with them on. I haven't ridden with them yet, but my feet were well protected at the grocery store.

I'll be riding about 2,500 miles this week through Utah. I'll probably wear the Sport Rain boots so I'll be able to comment further on them in a week or so.

Ride Safe!

Sidi makes some of the best MC boots available but their touring boots, such as these, do not provide much ankle protection, especially against twisting injuries.

Me too! Just got the adv rains. Wow! A super boot. Pretty tough to break in and pretty squeaky as noted by others. However the support is superior in my opinion. I will be glad when I don't feel like i am walking around in a pair of ski boots.
