Well I went for a ride to VA, got lost and ended up here.

Ride report will follow.

I have to do one for the VT strom BMW Rally gathering first though. Otherwise, STROMETTE might come back and kick my a$$. Well, come to think of it, maybe I won't write it so she'll come back to do some riding.

That's a clue. Can anyone guess where I ended up?

Here's another clue:

I'm voting it's Halifax... Suzie on the left and Ellen on the right?

Um, ahem, Mr. Piner, your trip report, sir? Yes, the one from over 2wks ago. 8) I've ridden 2,000mi since then ya know!

BTW, didn't you and RTJohn have the same philosophy about planning? It certainly appears that way! :P

You are all correct! Gold stars for everyone. I actually rode to Cape Breton and stopped at Fredie's on the way back near Peggy's Cove, south of Halifax. No plan. Ride, eat, sleep, repeat.

Rode from Fredie's to home in 14 hrs, stopping only for gas and gas station cuisine.

STROMETTE, you know these girls? Where haven't you been? Glad to hear that you're still leaving rubber on the road. Hope RTJohn is doing alright. We plan not to plan.

Does anyone have any pictures from the BMW Rally weekend? I can put them in my report. I didn't take any.

VtSTROM-K5, Circumnavigate the globe to get to VA? Brilliant! I wish.

Road to Meat Cove:

Thanks VtSTROM-K5 for the reflective tape! I made the diamonds on the sidecases with it.

A slighly off-topic quick question, please. What kind of hard bags are those? I'm looking for an economical alterative to buying the high $ Givi's for my DL1K.

prailsback,

Those are the Givi E21N sidecases. They hold 21 liters ea. They are about $145.00-$165.00 per PAIR.

I am using the SW-Motech Quick Lock removeable sidecase racks. They are about $199.00

You can get the permanent Givi racks for around $145.00

I like em.
