Handguards ON/OFF POLL

Just curious if anyone removes the handguards in the summer for the extra ventolation. since the hanguards on the dlk6 are so easily removed.

I have had as set for 6 months and have not installed them yet. I need to get around to that. Though I think it looks better without them.

I actually have these handguards from PowerMadd: http://www.powermadd.com/products/st...handguard.html.

They have vent covers that snap out, and have extra large extensions that can snap in place. I leave the vents open most of the time and put the extensions on when it's cold or raining. I keep the small vent covers in the tailbag in case I get caught out in the rain.

It's not an adventure unless you need a tent, a passport, and a leather glove for your shooting hand.

I installed mine last month and will keep them on permanently.

Why? Because I'm too damn lazy to take 'em off just because it's hot. I mean, jeez, if I took them off now, I'd have to put them on in a few months, then come next spring I'd have to take them off again and it would be a never ending cycle of on off on off on off and I'd probably wear out my wrench...

Besides, when I look at the dead bug gook on my hand guards and imagine that on my gloves...

Hey, just me. I'm wierd.
