DL1200

rember awhile back when folks were asking what they wanted to change or see on a new DL, and I said a 1200cc power plant.... well it looks like big sportbike twins are going to be popping up all over the place!! Check out motorcycle daily for the info… Yeah a DL1200 in MOTARD form would rock!!!

I wouldnt buy a 1200 DL. The 1000 is more than enough already. As for sportbikes, ive been saying they needed a bump in dlisplacement for many years now. To many people pass right by the 1000 V-twin sportbikes to get more performance from the R1's and ZX10's and whatnot. This should be cool. To bad I probably wont be buying one. But you never know.

I don't know... I rode a 1200GS recently, and while there's not too much it does better than the DL1000, the way it makes power at lower revs is much better than the DL. Top end is about the same, or maybe the DL is better. If a DL1200 had more grunt low down, that would be a good enough reason for me to buy one. Not to mention of course that in 1200 form it would crap all over the GS on the top end! That would be just an added bonus though...

I don't think that the 1K is at all lacking on the low end grunt factor, since I came to it from a V4 honda sabre and mine consistently tried to pull my arms off for the first couple of days
