No 1000V Strom for 2011 ?

I don't see the V in the 2011 product line? Just the Wee. Is that the case. Is the V dead?

They had issues with the EU emissions and dropped it. I suspect the same for the Wee before soon also. Everyone is coming out with a new bike in the "Adventure" segment, even Honda is planning one, I would guess a newly styled bike around 800cc much like the Tiger. The top is crowded with Triumph, BMW, Yamaha and Honda focused on 1 liter or greater the lower size has only BMW, Kawasaki and Triumph to content with. Suzuki has never really had a true St bike like the RT, FJR or C14 so i would not expect them to compete there.

Don't say that.. the wee is fine emission wise... I would not be shocked to see an 800 or 850 show up but for now I will enjoy my 650 I was drooling over for a couple years before getting one

If they stop making the DL1000, I wonder what that will do to the value of used 1000s?

Go up, or down?

It will keep used DL1000 prices strong. It's a niche bike so demand will never be huge...the wee is more popular like sales of 3:1 or so.

Based on what I've seen, I think the Vee prices have likely bottomed. It is a heck of a value for what you get. A used one is a screaming deal and with a few $$$ in farkles it is a very good bike with enough punch to keep you entertained. I like mine so much I'd seriously consider picking up a spare just in case.

I wouldn't buy the Super Tenere from Yamaha. If I am going to spend that much, I'd seriously go after the Ducati. I think there are better adventure bikes than the Vee however their cost is vastly disproportionate to their value vis a vis the Vee. I can spend 2-3 times more than whave I have invested in my Vee and maybe get a 30% better bike for my needs. I can't justify spending the extra $$$ at this point. I love v-twins so that leaves out a lot of the field anyway.
