Reasonable priced machine shop for Ontario and Canadian bikers.

One of the concern I have about buying parts form FleaBay and privatly is that I don't know who made it, how well it's made or what material they used. Something like a lowering links is too critical "guess" it's quality. So I pulled mine off, measured them and then had them machined.

Which brings me to...

I was loooking around to find a machine shop to make them. After a few failed searches or very expensive finds ($200 bucks?), I came across Rob at General Performance Engineering on Fima Crescent in Toronto. I gave him a drawing and in a few days I had the parts fresh off his CNC machine.

The upside is....

1..his price was so low, it suprised me. I had to ask him twice to confirm it. In fact, his price is competitive with the links at FleaBay.

2..right in front of his office, he has a race bike. Which means he knew EXACTLY what I was talking about right off the bat.

The downside is....

1...Like many real brick and mortar operations that have serious money in their operations, he does not want to take legal liability so you need to have a drawing and/or specs to get things made. He can make anything...from a drawing, or copy a part.

I was going to post the drawing of the lowering links he made for me but I don't want the liability either. Let's just say they had a passing resemblance to the Kouba links. They were made from 6061-T6 aluminum.

The reason I'm posting this is that it may benefit Ontario and Canadian riders. Rather then dealing with customs and extra shipping, there is someone who can make the parts right here.

Last but not least...

I have no interest in and in no way connected to this shop. NONE. ZERO.
