Visual identification of a ABS Vee/Wee

Dealing with a internet bike "broker" who doesn't know if a consignment bike is ABS equiped.

So I'm wondering, from photo's can I see something obvious on the wheels to reveal this?

Or,... the VIN # I have..... would it tell me?

Thanks, dave

It reads "ABS" on the fender and has ABS sensors on the wheels that the non-ABS model does not have.

Ask for the actual model #. If it is DL 650 AK7, then it is ABS. If it is DL 650 K7, it is non ABS. The ABS sensors are on the right side. The front is just back of the axle and is an oval shaped piece about 3" x 1/4''. The rear is just above the end of the swing arm, inline with the axle and is similar in shape to the front one.

Also, the ABS has a light/silver colored ring on the right side where the ABS sensor would scan (inside the rotor). The non-ABS is black.

Garage
There is also an ABS light at the bottom of the speedo face. Only 650s are available with ABS, not 1000s.

Pat- 2007 DL650A was ridden to all 48 contiguous states. I didn't quite make it to 17,000 miles on the 2012 DL650A.
Nicknames I use to lessen typing, Vee = 2002-2012 DL1000s. Vee2=2014-2016 DL1000s. Wee = 2004-2011 DL650s. Glee = 2012-2016 DL650s

The VIN plate will list the model number as DL650A (K7, K8 etc is not included on the bike itself).

2010 Triumph Tiger 1050se
2009 DL650A - sold

2005 DL650 - dearly departed
