What bike did you move from to the Strom?

Many strom riders have had several previous bikes but have moved to the Strom as their riding preferences matured. I'm curious to see what your last bike was before you became a stromtrooper.

For me it was a BMW K1200GT.

1985 Honda V65 Sabre. I miss that bike, but need the hard luggage capacity and wanted something lighter.

Why Motorcycles? Because Golf, Soccer, Football and Baseball only require One Ball

Honda valkyrie. I thought I wanted a power cruiser, but after 57K miles realized my mistake. It's a great bike for what it is, but only comes out of the garage for 2-up riding. My wife won't let me sell it - she doesn't like pillion on the strom.

BMW R100RT, preceded by an R1150RT. Financial reasons prompted selling the oilhead. The R100 was just too mundane.

A Trek Fuel EX 9.

Well, I didn't give it up completely but I don't ride it nearly as often..

Some of the more aware dinosaurs warned of the dangers of an iridium-enriched nuclear reactor. 'If this thing goes off', they warned, 'there would be nothing left but cockroaches and mammals.'
