Prolly the best price on the Apollo I've seen net-wide. But they are clearing out all "Apollo" models permanently. These are gotta go prices. Not sure why the Apollo, but it is an EXO-1000.

Scorpion seems to be aggressive in getting rid of their helmets with old graphics. If one has a small head, I'd check the Snell cert date. If 2005, pass on this deal. If 2010, great. Big improvements from Snell for their 2010 cert, especially for small heads. I like my Scorpion EXO-700 a lot--Scorpion's oval internal shape is a good fit for me.

Great deal. I wish it was a modular which is what I'm looking for this winter.

I just returned from Sport Bike Track Gear's store (I only live 20 miles from there). I bought one of these helmets and am quite impressed with it and don't be concerned about the M2005 Snell rating. This helmet retailed for $330.00.
I wear a XXL and EXOs run a little small....This my third EXO and they are an excellent helmet and value regardless of the current Snell certification....!!

Yup, enjoy the heck out of my EXO-700. It's the right shape (oval) whereas those other name brands are for rounder melons.

My EXO-400 is getting a bit old and and a new helmet would be nice. I was about to order based on my excellent experience with the 400 but thought to check out some reviews.

Unfortunately, it doesn't come out very good. It's heavy, poor venting, noisy, internal shade not dark enough and doesn't come down far enough and shield has limited positions to adjust. While I am very tempted to get it for only $110, I think all those issues will start to bother me pretty quickly. And I have no need the inflatable cheek pads. But it's only $110.

Edit: It's only a 1.25 ounces/35 grams heavier than my EXO-400 and I never thought it was too heavy. I usually ride with ear plugs and the shade seems like a handy feature when you ride in and out of the low evening sun. It's also one of the few helmets on close outs that has low key graphics and a neutral color. Where is that credit card..

Edit2: This advrider thread has mainly positive reviews and most find it a good value for $300. I placed my order and added the dark smoke internal shield for an extra $20. I guess a deal like this doesn't come along very often. Too bad riding season is almost over...

Thanks for the tip zorlac!

I love my scorpion. They run one size small. I wear med in all other helmets and large , for a perfect fit, in scorpion. Awesome helmet and another guy buying when i was at the honda store said they are not as hot as hjc i was looking at; better airflow.

You are killing me

I own the EXO 1000 which I just bought in January or February of this year for almost $300. Mine is silver with no graphics. You are killing me with that price you received

I don't use the inflatables....they seem to put pressure around my ears more than my cheeks

I love the internal shade visor....I do wish it was darker though

The vents work great but because of the large exhaust vents on bike storage is an issue for me, it's hard to close my Givi top case and I have to force it closed over the helmet

The quick remove shield is nice when too many bug guts are all over it

It is the best helmet I've owned so far and it does run one size small. So I'm wearing a XXL instead of the normal XL. Outer shell size is the same as the XL though.
