Alright, who's got the deal on tires?

Battlewings are dead at 13,000, thinkin about replacing them with Michelin Pilot roads. Anybody running any good specials right now, not limited to Michelins of course.

I just replaced my front tire (Anakee2 in my case) purchased at RockyMtnATV/MC - had the best price I found and free shipping to boot.

Good choice for an all street tire! I am running a PR on the front now, I am impressed it is wearing better than the previous BW and sticks better too. I have 10K on it right now and I am guessing at least another 5K left. What I really like about it most is no uneven wear pattern so far like I had on my previous BW and the OEM TW had a worse uneven wear pattern than all of them. The PR is being discontinued and they don't make the PR2 in a 19". The best deal I could find was from Moto-Race on eBay,

Michelin Pilot Road 110 80 19 Front Motorcycle Tire NEW: eBay Motors (item 380267809765 end time Oct-10-10 10:46:23 PDT)

or

Michelin Pilot Road Tires 110/80-19 150/70-17 PAIR NEW: eBay Motors (item 390200278481 end time Oct-21-10 07:32:06 PDT)

but I must warn you that you may get a tire that is up to 5 years old, see this thread here, if you have not already found it,

https://www.stromtrooper.com/general-...ur-advice.html

I decided to pass on it since I want fresh rubber. Most of the places that do carry this tire no longer have the front size in stock, like Motorcycle Superstore which is where I usually buy. Good luck

I just ordered a set of Trail Attacks for $240 shipped from swmototires.com. Not amazingly cheap or anything, but pretty good for those tires at regular price. The Trail Attacks won a big dual-sport mostly-road shootout a few months back; that and the positive reviews I've read here and on advrider decided me.

"I am enthusiastic over humanity's extraordinary and sometimes very timely ingenuities. If you are in a shipwreck and all the boats are gone, a piano top buoyant enough to keep you afloat that comes along makes a fortuitous life preserver. But this is not to say that the best way to design a life preserver is in the form of a piano top.
I think we are clinging to a great many piano tops in accepting yesterday's fortuitous contrivings as constituting the only means for solving a given problem." - R. Buckminster Fuller

I just put a set of Hideneau K76's on, and so far love them. Did 1000 miles on them and they still had a few of the rubber tits on them. I saw GS1200 after he did 4000 miles and they still looked like new.
They also stick very well in the corners.

No complaints with swmototires.com and I've ordered several for both bikes over the past few years.
