Why the colorblind shouldn't be allowed near paint.

So. Decided to strip & repaint the tank of my '06 Sonoma Red Vee. Took out all the scratches, bondoed a couple of minor dents, primed, and very carefully applied the base and then the midcoat. Lookin' good, Terry!!!

4 coats of clearcoat, and this evening just a bit of rubbing compound & 1500 grit wet sanding before a final coat.

Grabbed the can, sprayed it with all my care and skill and . . . wait. Somehow that looks different and I really don't think that's red any more. (More light) NO!!!! It's GRAY!!!!

HOLY #@%#!!!! I just covered it with primer again!!!!

Venting. Wife isn't home yet to console me. Like THAT'S gonna happen.

No, but that's not a bad idea for the rest of the evening. With a quart of scotch as a chaser.

Nah. Those of you with color vision already know what gray looks like. For those of us with the genetic defect THAT OUGHTA BE COVERED BY THE AMERICANS WITH DISABILITIES ACT BECAUSE I COULD NEVER GET A PILOT'S LICENSE, gray is a lot like red, only it comes out of a different can.

I have this friend with a T-Shirt that has one of those colorblind test charts...

I think this is the shirt. Dunno, can't read it. I'm color blind.

Supposedly is says "F#@ The Colorblind".

I'm very sorry for your loss Bureaucrat.

If it's any consolation, you can blame your mother; it is absolutely her fault.
