Plans For Winter

Just wondering what some of your winter strom chores are going to be this year. Like farkles or maintenance, etc. etc.

Mine are
1. New chain and sprokets
2. Head bearings
3. Lube cables
4. Flush out old brake fliud, new pads, and possible new hoses
5. Lube swingarm
6. Check wheel bearings and replace if necessary.

I just rolled over 15000 on the odo, so i need to check to book to see what other maintenance needs to be done. I just did the valves so that could be checked off.

Whats your plans?

speaking of chain and sprockets, I recently chaged the ratio to 16/43 and heartily endorse it. Different bike, better.

2018 1000XT, black. The Night's Watch. Givi engine bars, rear wheel mud guard, radiator screen. Givi V56 Litre Monokey topcase. Puig screen. Freeway Blaster horn. Speedohealer. SW Motech guards for R. brake reservoir, R. brake cylinder, exhaust pipe valve. Aprilia Tuono mirrors. GPR exhaust slip-on.
2006 DL1000, The Red Rhino. Gone for good.

Winter

I refuse to acknowledge winter is coming. To the original poster....the OK winters are probably just as cold as the MO winters and I'm not looking forward to any of it. For the last week near St. Louis we've had sunny 70 degree days and 50 degree nights and it supposed to continue for another full week
In the next week or two the fall colors will be in full effect and I plan on riding as much as possible.
