Confession Time

O.K., I've got to think I'm not the only one.

With gloves on (all my riding time) I seem to hit the horn button about 1 in 10 times I try to cancel the turn signals.

I usually wave (just in general) so people think I ment to do it.

Nice!

I do that too every once in a great while... like 1/1000 times. It's usually a signal for me to dig my head out of my arse and pay attention to riding. YMMV.

Change the stock horn to Stebel Nautilus, you'll learn not to hit the horn button extremely quickly. Don't ask me why do I know this... :biggrinjester:

Alas I confess to having done both (upgraded to a Stebel Nautilus plus accidentally hit the horn button) and the worst offense was at major intersection with two left turn lanes, I was on the inside turn lane next to a cop who was turning left alongside of me, and for some reason his presence rattled me just enough for my left thumb to develop a mind of it's own as we completed the turn...

Been there, done that (except for near a cop). I will say that having the Stebel horn has made me more careful. Because whenever I accidentally hit it, it startles the heck out of me.

Me, too. I thought I had cured myself of the habit until I did it again Saturday morning. Twice. Within about 5 minutes.

Seriously, that's the main reason I *haven't* bought a Stebel horn. It's embarrassing enough with the wimpy stock horn. I can't imagine hitting the horn with a Stebel installed.

It's not nearly as bad as shutting your turn signal off, with vigor, at an errant motorist.

Pat- 2007 DL650A was ridden to all 48 contiguous states. I didn't quite make it to 17,000 miles on the 2012 DL650A.
Nicknames I use to lessen typing, Vee = 2002-2012 DL1000s. Vee2=2014-2016 DL1000s. Wee = 2004-2011 DL650s. Glee = 2012-2016 DL650s

I thought it was set up like that so everyone would know you turned off your signal.

Or ironic.....

LMAO!!!! Yep I can think of a couple of drivers that I have energetically "canceled" at (if only it could really do that to them).
