More on my injection issue
I read in the shop manual last night that there are basically two maps for the FI. A Light load map that relies on the air pressure at the intake and a heavy load map that relies on throttle position.
The poor running condition I experienced several times on a 3,000 mile trip occurred every time I exited the interstate after running through a tank of gas at high speed. I am thinking my bike isn't transitioning back to the light load map from the heavy load map. I had disconnected the battery to reset the ECU - which unfortunately would erase any stored codes. I never did see " FI " or anything else abnormal displayed on my dash. So I have triple checked all connections and possible places for vacuum leaks, put in plugs and will now ride until this occurs again. I also ordered the switch to put the ECU in dealer mode so I can check for codes if it acts up again and I can verify TPS setting, etc.
