Call we wierd but...

...I love to ride in the rain!

The last couple of weeks, I have ridden home from work in varrying degrees of rain from light sprinkles to monsoon rains mixed with hail and I have loved every minute of it.

Weird, huh?

Peace carries a big gun!

It doesn't bother me to ride in the rain, I have done it myself several times coming home from work. I just won't ride to work in the rain, I have no rain suit  So I wouldn't want to sit in wet cloths all day. If I had my choice of riding weather though. It would definetly be sunny

I like rain riding too.

Close up all the gear and its man and machine vs mother nature.

You're not the only one. Here at work they say i'm crazy. I once chased a tropical storm, that was fun on a KLR.

Your not crazy , I ride everyday, rain or shine. I only put the bike away when the frost starts to glaze the road surface. The people I work with say how come you didn't drive the p.u. ? My reply is always the same ........If I only rode in good weather I wouldn't get to ride at all!!!!
besides , the rain provides an " evaporative cooling " kind of feeling. and there's less of the in-experienced riders riding in the rain..

2014 V2 DL 1000 25 miles and Onward
IF I only Rode in Good weather..
I WOULDN'T get to Ride in Vermont.at ALL!
we have 2 types of roads in Vermont, Unpaved roads and decaying back to .............Unpaved roads..

2005 DL1000 98,547 miles and continuing in the hands of it's new owner

I don't mind it - but I hate putting all the rain gear. Seems like I never get it on before I get a little wet, which makes it that much worse to put on.

I DO mind riding in absolute down pours with 50+ MPH wind gusts, at night, on the interstate. It gets espically interesting when your visor fogs and then you get water on the inside and outside, makeing your vision look like fly's eyes.

Yeah - I've been there a few times.

The right gear makes it more enjoyable for sure. I don't have seperate rain gear. I just close my vents, change gloves, and go. I get home bone dry, usually. Yesterday they (channel 5) said it was not going to rain so I had on the wrong boots and my feet got soaked but it was still fun.

I dont mind riding in the rain either. I'll head out in the rain if its a long trip, but if its short I wont intentionally run out.
