Quick(er) turn throttle?

Since the amount of twist needed to get my Wee to WOT is rather long, anyone know of a quicker turn throttle that will work?

One of the Yamaha throttles is a 1/4 turn unit, It fits other bikes, but not sure about the Strom. I'll look for the info.

I need to take a look at the throttle linkage.

I know most mx bikes have a quick throttle but they are also driectly opening a short-ish slide.

I don't know about your wee but I took the secondary butterflies off my V and the throttle is much more responsive. Still takes the full turn to get WOT but the increased throttle response means I'm not doing it nearly as often. Might be something to try.

I heard of some possible gains on the 1000 but nothing for the 650 related to the secondary butterflies.

Common sense would tell me the smaller throttle body size to cylinder bore size ratio on the 650 could prolly use all the intake help it can get.

I just don't like having to take another grip to get it to WOT and still have my hand and wrist at a reason controlable angle.

My friend has either an R6 or an R1 throttle tube, on his SV650. It might work on the WeeStrom. INSTANT throttle response. I agree with Heavy about pulling the secondaries, I pulled mine over the weekend. I installed new irdium plugs, air filter and new antifreeze. There is "no doubt", about the 1000 being more responsive with them out. Revs much quicker, and the throttle response seems more linear and smooth. I love the extra intake noise, when you really hammer the throttle. They will NEVER be going back in....they are STUPID IMHO. Suzuki claims that they are for low and mid range power increase....yeah right!!!!
