That same thing happened to a friend of my brother a couple of months ago on a trip thru Big Bend and northern Mexico. Here's the pics:

That's amazing that he rode the bike to a stop. When I hit my deer, in the back of mind, I thought people have talked about riding though the impact. When I did actually make contact, life suddenly became extremely more violent, and before I could even blink, I was airborne.

Perhaps the weight of the Valk aided the rider somehow. Regardles, he managed to keep the bike upright, and I'm thoroughly impressed.

I think the weight of the Valkirye added to the equation.
I could be wrong, but there is a high chance that the bike is heavier than a deer.
