Motoport & LD Comfort

About 3 months ago, I ordered a jacket and pair of pants from Motoport/Cycleport. I researched every article and thread I could find about their products. As you may or may not know, they aren't cheap.

I'm happy to report, it is great stuff. I could not be more pleased. The company website is not much but after careful measuring like they describe, I called to place my order. I spoke to Wayne who is the owner. He was very helpful and even questioned one of my measurement which I corrected while on the phone. It took about 6 weeks to get my order but the wait was worth it.

I opted for the jacket without the liner since I wear a Darien in the winter. I also got the quad armor in both the jacket and pants. It's feels a little bulky at first but the protection is very high. Really good quality stuff. It's very comfortable.

On another note, today was about 94 in Nashville with very high humidity. I think the heat index was over 100. I tried out a new LD Comfort shirt and it works great. I drenched it in the kitchen sink and rode for about 3 hours. I was really quite cool and comfortable when I was moving. Even at a low speed. The shirt has 2 layers so your skin stays dry while the outside layer stays wet. I have friends who swear by their products and they are right.

So the combination of my Motoport mesh jacket and the LD Comfort shirt seems to be a good one for our hot Southern summers. I wish I could try the head piece but it will make my helmet too small.

Hope this helps others considering these products.

I've been using Motoport for over ten years. Excellent stuff! Whether a broken zipper, melted from tail pipe or torn from a low-side, Wayne repaired the gear almost for nothing.

Most recent acquisition are the kevlar mesh pants about two years ago. Nice & breezy (just with boxers) but completely protected.

Not affiliated but definitely recommend the gear to anyone.
