Front brake rotors shared with other models?

Folks,

Posting a question to the experts out there.

My bike suffered a tip over + run over at the hands of a large truck owned by a friend. Fortunately, he only got a piece of the front wheel. There's plenty of scratches, but the only mechanical damage was that the front brake rotor was cracked.

So the question:

Does anybody know if there are other Suzuki models that share the stock brake rotor with the DL1000? Besides the TL1000, obviously?

Thanks,

- Sweendog

The TL1000 has a smaller diameter wheel and disk. THE DL650 from 2004-2006 is the only other model I know of. The 19" wheel is unusual. The EBC disk at http://www.amotostuff.com/Merchant2/...=dl1000_brakes only lists those models for example while the pads also fit the Versys.

Pat- 2007 DL650A was ridden to all 48 contiguous states. I didn't quite make it to 17,000 miles on the 2012 DL650A.
Nicknames I use to lessen typing, Vee = 2002-2012 DL1000s. Vee2=2014-2016 DL1000s. Wee = 2004-2011 DL650s. Glee = 2012-2016 DL650s

I have been running SV1000 brake rotors on my DL1000 for about 40,000 miles.

Have you compared diameters? The part numbers are different.

I think the part numbers are different for the DL1000 pre-2004 vs 2004 and beyond. However, I can't see an ounce of differnece.

Mine is a 2008, by the way.

Sorry about the delay here - I forgot about this post...

The diameter is the same. The SV rotor carrier is black. The rotor is attached to the carrier with 8 buttons instead of 6.
