Tool Carrier Tube - Project

I'm stuck. I have an idea that I have been able to mock up but I can't figure out how to get this thing finished. What I'd like to do is make two tool carriers from 4" PVC that would eventually attach to the engine protectors on my DL1000. What I'm stuck with is a way to attach these tubes to the bars in a way that will keep them in place and away from body plastic. I'm linking in some pix to show what I've been able to do so far.

From the front:

From the underside:

From the bike side:

The engine bars are SW-Motech and are not parallel.

My original idea was to try to fit these:

This is the Wolfman Enduro Carry All. I've never seen one up close and have therefore never had a chance to test fit it to the bars. So, the PVC tube carrier will be my first experiment. If I can get the PVC solution figured out, they will hold more, be more water and drop proof/resistant and cost much less.

So, what I need to know is how to mount these things. If anyone has anything like this I'd really like to see your setup.

Thanks in advance!

Many use P clamps, including myself.
Only 3 clamps have held mine in place, without moving a bit, for 8000 miles so far.

I think you're right, it is the way to go. I'm going to pick some up this evening.

Thanks!
