Givi replacement windscreens

I just shattered the Givi windscreen on my05 DL1000 in a fall. I bought the bike used and have been out test riding it. The Givi screen came with it when I bought it so I am not sure if the adjustable brackets are stock or part of the Givi package. I did a search for "Givi windscreen replacements" and keep coming up with $180 screens, which surely has to include the hardware. I can't believe a friggin piece of plastic could cost that much.

Does anyone know a source for just the windscreen? I'll be in Texas through next week.

Damn and I have a Texas hill country ride this weekend. I can't believe I did this three days prior to the ride.

A picture is worth 1000 words to know if you have the $250.00 Givi Adjustable screen or a $100.00 Givi Screen with a Mastad bracket.

I am not sure what the Mastad bracket is. The screen is adjustable for and aft about one inch and up and down about three inches. I don't know if that bracket is stock or part of the Givi.

I'll stop by the dealership tomorrow to look at a new Strom and see what the windscreen mount looks like.

Jay, I didn't even think of ebay. I am too damn angry with myself right now for dropping it. Thanks also for the link.

Sounds like you have a Madstad bracket. I am currently in the same boat as you; trying to justify spending $150 for a piece of plastic.

I just went to the link and my former screen looked like the D260ST, the one with the brackets. Thanks again.

Does it look like this (adjustable Givi):

Or a Madstad bracket:

If it's the Madstad bracket you can put any shield on the bike. A givi for just over 100 or any of the other ones.

If it's the Givi Airflow, then I don't know what you can do.

I'm betting on it's the Madstad with a regular givi shield.

That's it; the Madstad brackets. It had a Givi one piece windscreen on it, which is now about a six piece screen. But it's good news that the Mastad will take a variety of screens. I'll check with the local dealership today, only because I'd like to have one my upcoming three day ride. If not, I'll "tough it out" this weekend like I did for years riding my vintage bikes and order one on line from one of the links you gents suggested. It's kind of funny how one gets used to a good windscreen. It's hard to go back.

I appreciate the help.

There is also something called overnight shipping. Call Pat Walsh,Twisted Throttle or Amotostuff, they are masters at dealing with last minute issues.

I bought my bike on a Saturday, Decided on Monday to do a loop of the Trans Lab highway and left Thursday Morning. I was kind of in the same boat.

I started with basically a stock bike and left with crash bars, top box, accessory plug .. etc.

You may be able to get something that Parts Unlimited carries (a.k.a. Dennis Kirk) from your dealer the next day. I got a set of TKC's for my TL trip that way. Of course I paid full retail price for them.
