That's a pretty good price!

Really liking my set so far. Excellent wet weather handling (75% of my 1200 miles on the tires so far have been in wet conditions), and they are pretty darn smooth. Just managed to get some short off-tarmac time on them on some pea-gravel and hardpack (Forgot to turn on the "avoid off-road" setting on my new GPS...whoops). Two up and loaded with Jesse's and some light gear and they were fine. Haven't had a chance to get them in the rougher stuff.

Excellent tire if you're in the market.

I now have over 12,000 km on my Battle Wings, and man are they holding up well. These are an awesome, is somewhat noisy tire! They definitely move into corners much more easily than the stock tires, and they seem to love to be leaned WAAAYYYYY over. I will replace these with another set when it is time.

Oops...just checked where I got mine from. Chaparral Racing has them at $203 shipped. You could save a whole $5 going with Chaparral!

Pretty quick shipping too. If I remember correctly, it was 3 days from SoCal to Seattle (only Ground shipping on tires :-( )

Thats cheap! I normally buy all my tires from SW Tires. How is Chaparral Racing to deal with, never ordered from them. Your tires had good dating on them?

I'll tell you this, no eternal reward will forgive us now for wasting the dawn.

but California residents have to pay almost 9% sales tax, another $15.

Quick and easy.

I have to send my Shinko's back to them shortly (keep forgetting to). We'll see how they handle that. Shouldn't be too bad.

And...yeah. I always try and order from out of state to avoid WA sales tax. Close to 10% here...BLAH!

You can get the pair for $190 at Jake Wilson. I did a couple months ago - hadn't heard of them before, but didn't have any issues with the sale.

Any total mileage guesstimates? The rear stocker is dead for me at 8K+ miles.

THE Tire Thread - Page 4

Look at posts #34 and #37. Word of warning...YMMV. Everyone's riding style, road conditions, bike setup, etc are all very different.

My impression is the BW's will last longer than the stock TW's.
