Gotta Buy Tires Soon

Where do you guys buy your tires. Should I try a local store - and let them mount them, or should I buy on-line and try to mount them myself? Any advice for on-line or Atlanta area retail outlets?

Thanks

Brad

I don't live in your area, but I have read good things about these guys.............www.twobrotherstires.com/

I live in my own little world, but it's OK, they know me here.

Go online to motorcyclesuperstore.com and read about their preferred installer program. You buy the tires from them, they ship the tires at no charge to an installer they have prior and established pricing arrangements with and you just bring your bike by. I highly recommend this company. I have used them for multiple purchases and their pricing is always the best and free shipping. It is a no brainer. See what you think.

The tire selector at http://motorcycle.motorcycle-superst...=and&view=grid is a good resource. It answers many questions about what tires are available. A deeper investigation shows many tires that come up from a 110/80-19 search are only available in 100/90-19 though.

Pat- 2007 DL650A was ridden to all 48 contiguous states. I didn't quite make it to 17,000 miles on the 2012 DL650A.
Nicknames I use to lessen typing, Vee = 2002-2012 DL1000s. Vee2=2014-2016 DL1000s. Wee = 2004-2011 DL650s. Glee = 2012-2016 DL650s
See https://www.stromtrooper.com/general-...nicknames.html

Good move! Been dealing with these guys for years so they are familiar with the 'strom for sure!

Some of the more aware dinosaurs warned of the dangers of an iridium-enriched nuclear reactor. 'If this thing goes off', they warned, 'there would be nothing left but cockroaches and mammals.'

Thank you all for the advice. This site is AWESOME! What would us noobs do without this resource? . A special shout-out for Greywolf.

I went with the local guys because I didn't want to try to balance and install them myself. It probably wouldn't be a problem, but I am going on a long trip here in a couple of months and didn't want to find out (while thousands of miles away from home) that I screwed something up. They also seem to have competitive prices.

Anyway, thanks again guys.

+1 on Two Brothers, just had a set mounted by them last week. About an hour ride to them for me but seemed to be worth it.
