Headlight modulator affecting fuel pump?

As I'm sorting out my new (used) '03 DL1K, something I have noticed is that the high-beam modulator is causing the fuel pump to modulate as well.
I can't imagine that's too good for it.
When I switch to low beams, the fuel pump sound goes back to a steady whine.

I'll be checking out the install of the modulator to verify the wiring, of course.
Anyone else notice this effect?

Any recommendations?

I love Clifford, the big red dog.

One fix is to install headlight relays (eastern beaver). Going through the electrical system and cleaning switches and connectors is also a good idea.

An Eastern Beaver H4 Dual headlight Relay kit might help the problem by feeding the headlights from the battery instead of through the main harness with all the other stuff.

Doesn't sound right to me. Failing stator or R/R? Bad battery? Stick a voltmeter on it for your next ride.

As stated above I would take a hard look at the battery and charging system.

Keep the Rubber Side Down.
