Remove Hole Shot / Power Commander

Hey all, planning a trip to Panama. Seen more advise to remove and return to stock.

I need to know the scoop!

I think it would be good to replace the pipes to get rid of the loudness.
Don't want to be the UGLY American.

Had more people recommend to remove pipes and Power Comander and return to stock settings. My mechanic is dead against it!!!

My bike is hard to tune it seems. Get the stall after long rides as I have read here. Mechanic tuned and still have the stall and uneven running. I let the bike sit and then it returns to better operation, manual venting gas tank also helps. Now I'm getting popping through the air intake.

I want a quiet, smooth running and more fuel efficient V Strom!

PLEASE offer your 2 cents. Thanks!

Dale Walker offers an insert to reduce dB in his exhaust.

I don't know if you are on V or a Wee, but if it's a V and you are stalling/running poorly after extended runs, try adjusting the TPS or replacing it.

If I were you I would put the stock mufflers back on and keep the power commander. The power commander will allow you a much larger range of adjustment with just a pc. I am sure you will be able to find a map that will work great for you. I am also sure you would find a more then willing inmate to make you the swap for their stock pipes.

Keep the Rubber Side Down.
