Can someone explain the discrepency in MPG between the 650DL which gets 55MPG and the DL1000 which gets only 38MPG.

I realize the cc are 350 higher and the bike weighs 30 more pounds. Does anything else factor in??

I had a 1300cc Harley that got 50MPG and a Moto Guzzi 1100cc that got 44MPG and currently have a BMW1100RTP that gets 44MPG.

What's with the DL1000.?

How well it is tuned and who is riding it. I am up in the the high forties with mine. 47-49. And no I don't just take it easy all the time. But the other bikes your comparing it too are like trying to figure out why apple and oranges taste different.

Keep the Rubber Side Down.
