Is the White Rim Trail in Moab strommable?

back when i had a KLR650 i had planned to one day go to moab with it. that never panned out and now i am on a Wee. Has anyone taken their Wee on the WRT and done a ride report?

I did it last May and had virtually zero offroad motorcycling experience prior. Haven't done a ride report. It was a great adventure. I had just done it on a mtn bike and stayed an extra day to do it on the Wee. The trail was rougher than I had seen it in the 5 times I have biked it, but was still all quite rideable. I dropped her twice, once in soft sand and once got caught in a rut going down Hardscrabble hill (only casualty was the tip of my shift lever). Lots of places where I was glad to have the belly pan as banging bottom was pretty common. While quite rideable and fun, it is clear that a smaller, lighter and longer legged bike would be more fun as there is a lot of rocky sections that you have to pussyfoot through and by the end I felt kind of battered as the suspension is not ideal for that kind of terrain.

The trail condition is quite variable depending on when they last graded it and recent rainfall events ( likely with the federal budget, they are grading less frequently than they used to). When I did it, there had been a little recent rain which helped with the sandy sections. It had not been graded in a long time so there was a lot of loose, rutted and rocky areas. Given, it was the worst I had seen it and I was able to do it as a newbie, I would say have at it (with good tires, tkc or similar and crash bars).

I did it in June 07. Sorry, no ride report. Dropped once in the sand. Its a long day of riding.

I recommend riding it counterclockwise so that you get the hard sections (sand and 2 moderate hills) done early in the day while you are fresh.

If it's dry it's doable. If it rains though, the mud can get very, very ugly.
