Light GIVI top case, brake light issue

I noticed my GIVI top case brake lights not lighting up this morning. I pulled the case off and noticed the connector that sits on the top plate had dimples in the metal contacts that the case spring loaded connector hits.....I moved the box around and got the lights working for a quick second but it failed again. Since I had time I thought, "Get the soldering iron out and fill those dimples in with solder." It took me all of 2 minutes to make it look nice and the box worked great.....at least in the driveway. 32 miles later I arrive at work, same issue, no extra brake lights.

Has anyone else experience this issue?
What did you do to correct it?

How do you know the problem is on the bottom connector. It could be on the part of the cable thats inside the box. Leave it connected and move that a bit and see what happens. If there is a sharp bend there, combined w/ vibration or something big inside the case pushing up against it one time, it could have caused an issue underneath the insulation there.

almost everybody has the same issue

mine only worked 2 weeks , somebody on here says an electrical paste of somesort put on the connecter will work . another solution is to hard wire it with 2 pin conector .

Been there. The site isn't working just now, but this may be the single best accessory I have added to the Wee, and I really mean that: www.admorelighting.com

Thumbs up AdmoreLighting

To go on with what LordSmoke said, "Best investment" made for accessories. Super easy to install, solid connection and F__King awesome customer service! The kit is worth the money and the added peace of mind that the cagers shouldn't have an excuse for not seeing you from behind. If I get tapped from behind, the first thing I'm pointing out to the cops is the light kit in my E52 top case! AdmoreLighting is definately the way to go.

PS-site is working, just checked it prior to responding.

Love those

I love those wrap arounds for my GIVI E52 case. Those will be on my list to buy very soon. Thanks!

Get the turn signal option - sweeeeet.

And get some better double-sided tape than that that comes with the kit. Mine fell down on one side. I replaced with some I got from Ace Hardware - hasn't budged. Oh, and mount the plug on the bottom of the case near the rear - in the vicinity of the Givi connector, but more accessible and rearward. The example location - front of the case, would be exposed to passenger damage.
