hot grip connector

What do you have to remove from an 07 Wee to get at the spare connector located somewhere near the left side of the radiator? Ive got the left fairing off and the rad loose. Pics would be nice. Thanks.

I popped the tank removed the air filter. At that point I could see the connector in between the airbox and the rad and I could just get my hand into the space in front of the airbox to plug in the grip connector to the factory option plug. Otherwise I think you would have to loosen the rad and try to pivot it forward to get at the connector. It was easier for me the way I did it as it also provided easy access to route and secure the grip wiring up to the front of the tank area. I located the harness connectors and fuse under the plastic cover in front of the tank for easy access. Sorry I did not take any pics. I should do that next time I pop the tank for future reference.

I removed the left side panel, but removing the tank would be easier.

This is what you are looking for. Do you have a horn wire or Easternbeaver connector to hook it up?

I didn't remove anything. I got my daughter push on it on one side and I got on the other side with needle nose pliers. While holding the male end I pushed it right on.

Glad you got it connected. Thise Eastern Beaver prefab cables work really well for connecting to the factory plug. I have not had any issues using the Oxford Hot Grips connected to the factory option plug. I think they pull under 4 amps on high.
I went in that way because I wanted to pop the tank and check the air filter. By luck the connector was staring me in the face when I pulled the AF.
